I stumbled across Mailware and they have been wonderful. They answered all my questions (and I had a lot of them). They were always patient and honest with me. I spoke with them on multiple occasions, they researched a couple things for me and really helped guide me to figure out what exactly it was I was looking for in a software.

I ended up going with a different company and after all their time and patience with dealing with me I thought they would try and talk me out of my decision (like another company did). But they didn't. They wished me the best and said if I had any questions or needed anything to just let them know.

It has been a month since I purchased my software and just the other day they were thoughtful enough to drop me an e-mail to check in and see how everything is working out. Provino WinesIn early 2008 we started Provino Premium Wines on a shoestring budget.  Like any fiscally responsible start-up company, the plan was to grow the company over time and initially save as much money as we could.  If you recall, early 2008 was probably the worst time in the history of the world to start a company - other than now, March 2009... but we're thriving and growing like mad, and have 15 employees now.

Being an engineer and coming from the software world myself (Netscape, Netmanage, Vitalsigns Software) I looked at a multitude of products to determine which would be best for both the short term needs we had, and also be able to grow into long term growth, should we actually have a business idea that took off.  We initially installed the standalone version of Mailware on 2 stations, and within a couple of months found that we needed functionality that wasn't part of the standard product.  I wrote a detailed scope of work, and got a VERY reasonable estimate on how much it would cost to get the work done by the Mailware engineering team.  A little skeptical, I eagerly opened a download a couple of weeks later and was amazed that they had implemented a wonderful version of the new Product Choosing screen we all have now.  They also went above and beyond the scope of work definition, and added customization features that made it really useful.

After about 4 months, we quickly realized we had outgrown the standalone network version and then moved to the client-server version in about 10 minutes.  And we didnt have a single data corruption or functionality problem - that's a first, and I've experience several nightmares converting standalone products to network and SQL versions.

We've now been running the company for over a year on this platform and grown revenues to over $1mm in sales and we're still chugging along.  I've written dozens of custom reports, written automated tracking imports, dual inventory location reconciliation routines, and converted the entire Mailware platform to be web-based with all menus and user selections coming from a central web server.  We implemented all of this ithout a single call to tech support (well, the report writer is a little odd and sometimes requires an email for explanation, but you can't have everything).  Drop me a line if you want more details about how to perform this conversion.

On the subject of tech support - every call and email to tech support is answered promptly, and the answers almost always solve the problem.  This is often the downfall of small software companies, and these guys are experts AND are able to respond in a timely fashion, especially when they know your business depends on it.

In summary, we've had nothing but positive experiences with the product and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a robust order entry/inventory management system.

After a couple of years, I contacted another company to see what they had to offer. It worked well, but it was quite expensive. They started going in another direction than what I needed, so, when my business burned down (along with my house), I tried yet another program. It was cheap and worked but then they cut all their customer and technical support.

At this point, I contacted Core-Tech. I talked with them for quite some time about what I was looking for. When there was a question that I asked that they couldn't answer, they actually told me that they couldn't answer it but he would get the answer for me. AND THEY DID!!

What a refreshing change from the normal sales BS that I have to cut through to get the information that I need. I eventually purchased the system. AND, instead of being abandoned immediately afterward, they stuck with me until everything was set up properly and I had a solid understanding of their software.

In hindsight, they went way above and beyond what I actually expected. I've had their software running on my computer for over a year now and I'm still tickled with my purchase. The decision to switch to Mailware was the right one. I don't give out endorsements easily. In fact, there are only a few companies that I recommend without reservation and Core-Tech/Mailware is one of them. THANKS for being there. You have a great "off the shelf" package that could easily compete with most custom software for it's purpose. I whole heartedly recommend your product.

If you are going to spend the money to print a catalog you need some form of client tracking, inventory software. I shopped around and bought Mailware because it is by far the best program for the money. 

I did try others that came with all sorts of promises but once we got into them they were too basic and didn’t give us the level of detail that Mailware provides. Since we have installed it we are able to track everything. It does all the things a growing company needs including growing with you. Additionally we have received fantastic service from them. 

After 5 Catalog could not exist without Mailware. Great price, great value.

Using Mailware enabled us to track our customers, their orders, and their sources to determine the best place to put our advertising dollars. As a result, last year we decided to skip publishing our full color 40 page catalog (very expensive for a small company) and to spend more advertising dollars on our Web site.

One of the most efficient upgrades that Mailware provided was the ability to download orders from our Web site and import them into Mailware. We activated that feature early last summer (with some help from Mailware). As our Internet business started to expand, we realized that we were processing orders in less than an hour that previously took 3-4 hours to process. That processing included order input, printing sales reports, credit card processing (we do it by batch electronically using a Mailware produced report) and printing and sorting Sales Orders.

After a few weeks of using this download, we realized that we could eliminate a position thereby saving payroll dollars. In times of volatile sales periods, this helped our bottom line. Additionally, we had the security of knowing that the customer's order and credit card information was entered exactly as they intended without the possibility of our people making data entry errors.

As our business grew during the holiday season, we realized that without this Internet download, we would have had to add additional personnel to handle the orders. This would have involved training and dollars. With Mailware, we were able to process and ship all our orders within 24-48 hours throughout the holiday season.

Nine months ago, our entire operating system completely crashed. Needless to say, there was a lot reinstalling of all of our software! Hours of work lay ahead of us. Because Mailware had helped us with the exporting of our client database into their program several months before when we initially started using the program, they had the information we needed to get us back up and running in no time. This was one piece of software we did not have to worry about. It was as if we never lost a single piece of data and our clients never noticed.

Mailware has been a great asset for our company. It has certainly made processing our mail orders much smoother, and actually a lot of fun. Our invoices look great and are easy to read, because we can take the provided templates and customize it to best suit our needs. The reports are easy to set up, and anytime we need assistance, Mailware's Tech Support has always been right there. I enjoy the part of my day when we process our orders, because I know that whatever's happening around me in our hectic and busy office, what I produce with Mailware is going to look seamless and fantastic.

Finally, the upgrades and the fact that Mailware stays on top of their game with new features and easy to install updates, not to mention super fast backup power, gives me the assurance that I am dealing with a top-of-the-line company, whom our company can depend on for years to come.

Mailware is an incredibly easy to use, yet powerful application that will cover ALL of your customer/mail order business needs. No need for separate accounting, customer contact, word processing and databases. Mailware is definitely an "all-in-one".

*Contact Management: The types of customer information you can customize, store and track are nearly limitless. You can create your own tickler files, notes, reminders, contacts, referrals, discounts, etc. right within this program.

*Tables: It's very easy to manage your products and pricing, as well as inventory, shipping, ads and taxes.

*Reports: Nearly every type of accounting report is included in this program, sales by location, accounts receivable, sales by rep, including sales, inventory, items sold by quantity, etc. cost of goods sold, reorder status, sales by ad type, sales averages, etc. Reports are relatively easy to edit/customize.

*Order Processing: It is very easy to locate a customer in the database when they call in, and run a report called, "This Customer Orders" which quickly lists, in full detail, every order the customer has placed (helpful for recommendations). It is easy to add a new order and print an invoice. If you purchase the credit card authorization software, you can even process the orders live. It's also very easy to find previous orders and invoices.

Mailware is the spine that supports my business. Mailware has been reliable, adaptable, recoverable (after my systems failure) and easy to use and teach to new employees. And I have experienced other mail-order software that did not fulfill these benefits. 

I've been in the mail order business since 1988 and used another package for much of that time until that company folded (there is a resurrected version of it but No Thanks!) About the time that company was having its first collapse, suddenly I needed technical help and there was none available. I searched through the mail-order software on the market and liked what Mailware had to offer. Not only that, but their customer service and cooperation in loading my old data files into Mailware was tremendously helpful. 

Now I enjoy the ease in managing customer calls, inventory, order fulfillment and reports. I definitely recommend Mailware.

2005 Update:

Yes, another great season with Mailware. We are a smoked meats business and use Mailware for our internet, mail-in, phone-in and walk-in orders. This is the 4th year with Mailware, they respond quickly and are always there to help with problems.

Invoicing, building and printing reports are smooth and we highly recommend this software. Printing shipping and mailout labels make both easy. Keeping track or our inventory was hectic before we began using Mailware, now it is a snap. We are looking forward to the new 2005 version.

I am quite critical about technical specifications and narrowed my search to Mailware and another company claiming to be widely used by fortune 500 companies.

Five years ago, after growing out of a custom DOS application, I turned to the internet to find a mail order management application to run the order entry and fulfillment portion of my business. The fortune 500 pitch sold me on the other company but after a week of failed importing and poor support, I returned the product and gave Mailware a try. The staff of Mailware guided me through the setup and importing of over 10 years and thousands of customer records and related order history. Mailware earned my confidence with its easy-to-use design and fast searching capabilities. Over the years I have suggested several enhancements that have been implemented. I highly recommend this well written application and reasonably priced product.

We went from custom programs to bundled programs. We ship out anywhere from 100 to 500 orders per day, so we need a software program that handles everything including a credit card plug-in for PC Charge, customizable order forms, tons of reports, batch printing...

Everything is user friendly, anyone can work this system. Customer Service is top notch. Every time I have had any questions or needed anything they were on top of it immediately!

I would recommend Mailware for small and large businesses. They really have put everything together nicely. The best feature for our company are the plug-ins for shipping. Whether you ship UPS, USPS or FedEx they have a plug-in package for your company. It will import and export tracking information. It has literally cut out the place of 2 employees in my shipping department. So it saves me time and money.

I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical at first that they could really deliver all that they promised. It almost seemed too good to be true, especially considering the low cost. But now, five years later, I can report that both the software and the support have been exceptional. The software is flexible and stable, and their tech support has always been top notch in every respect (speed of response, expertise, cost, and a willingness to "go the extra mile" to make sure we didn't experience any downtime).

Since all of our orders are processed through Mailware, this level of support makes all the difference, because we're out of business if we can't take orders. I only wish that all of our software suppliers were as responsive to our needs as Mailware is!

We originally spent thousands of dollars on a competitive software program. Only to find the import did not work properly, the credit card processing did not work properly. The worst part was the customer service. It was absolutely outrageous. We have been in business for 32 years and have never had such unprofessional customer service as we did with the competitor's service.

After spending an exorbitant amount of time on getting nowhere with the program, I began researching for other programs on the internet. I found this program called "Mailware." I called their company and told them the problem I was having and asked specific questions regarding importing, credit card processing, etc. The customer service was absolutely wonderful. I returned the competitor's software just as they had instructed in their return policy and they fought me every step of the way on giving me a refund. It took months, I had to hire an attorney and they finally agreed to refund me 75% of my money. To me this is extremely unprofessional and unethical.

The cost factor, the excellence in quality and customer care that Mailware has shown to me and my company is first class to say the least. Their constant dedication and expertise to the upgrades is unbeatable.

Mailware software is by far the best there is on the market. It is very user friendly and an excellent tool for managing customers, orders, inventory, processing credit cards and shipping merchandise. The importing feature is top notch!

I highly commend the programmers and their excellent customer service staff, they truly are the best in the business!

The upgrade helps us work faster and more efficiently. We like that we can input the weight for all items we ship which in turn shows up automatically when we print the UPS label, therefore no need for us to weigh each package. Also sending Invoices via e-mail made our customers appreciate our service!

Another huge help for us was that when our computers broke down twice this year Mailware was there to set us back up again. It's the best mail order software that I've seen, and I have tested quite a few.
